Justine Macdonald Provincial Office Supplies Division Sales Represetative
Justine Macdonald is Fuji Xerox’s representative for office stationery and paper supplies in the South Island. She makes sure that her customers in the Nelson region have the products they need, when and where they need them. And if you detect a South Island twang in her voice when she calls you, you’d be right.
Justine was born and bred in Dunedin, just down the road from Carisbrook Stadium. With two older brothers, it’s not surprising that rugby played a significant part in Justine’s childhood.
“Saturday was sports day and, being the baby with two older brothers and a father who was involved with the local rugby club, I spent much of my time at there on Saturdays. I remember we used to collect the old fizzy bottles for the refund – there was always enough for a bag of lollies.
“I’ve got lots of memories of being rugged up watching early morning test matches on the TV with dad and my brothers and sitting perched on the fence watching supporters heading down the road to a big game.”
Although she may only have been with Fuji Xerox for 2yrs, Justine has many years’ experience working in the office supplies sector and knows a few tricks of the trade. She pulls out all the stops to help customers get what they need – on time and on budget.
Maybe it’s her upbringing speaking, but Justine finds South Islanders ‘more relaxed’ than their North Island counterparts. Currently based in Auckland, she misses the friendly, family-oriented attitude of the South but counts herself lucky to be working with South Islanders, even if it is over the phone.
No two days at work are the same, she says. Justine loves solving problems for customers and building up good relationships – while always being conscious not to encroach too much on busy customers’ time.
